    “The cottage was very comfortable and warm at a very cold time of year.”

    Super large comfy bed, great storage space in bedrooms, lovely walk in shower and great to have sky TV. Also excellent parking right in front, so unloading and loading made easy. Also good to be so close to village centre and amenities as well. We know Seahouses well and we’re not really holiday makers but needed a good base for a week. A few things could have helped make our stay even better and these include trays, so we didn’t have to always sit at the table, an oven tray for warming ...

    Super large comfy bed, great storage space in bedrooms, lovely walk in shower and great to have sky TV. Also excellent parking right in front, so unloading and loading made easy. Also good to be so close to village centre and amenities as well. We know Seahouses well and we’re not really holiday makers but needed a good base for a week. A few things could have helped make our stay even better and these include trays, so we didn’t have to always sit at the table, an oven tray for warming food, an ironing board ( there was an iron and clothes drying frame but no board and we did do some washing), plus another lamp in the lounge to save using bright overhead ceiling light. We would have also found a second key helpful as we were both in and out of the cottage at different times. Overall though great base for us.

Curlew Cottage is a comfortable property furnished and equipped to high standards and has the added bonus of 2 washrooms and a downstairs cloakroom.

Curlew makes an ideal base for a coastal holiday and is very suitable for pet owners with its enclosed patio garden to the rear and proximity of good walks along the coastal footpath.

Seahouses village is just a few minutes walk away. GROUND FLOOR Entrance hall.

Living/dining room with electric living flame stove, TV/DVD/Sky and patio doors onto patio. Dining area. Kitchen with ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave and washing machine. Cloakroom with WC and basin. FIRST FLOOR Bedroom 1 with double bed, sea views, en suite shower, WC and basin. Bedroom 2 with twin beds.

Bathroom with bath, WC and basin. OTHER FACILITIES Enclosed patio garden with furniture.

A bustling, pretty fishing village with an attractive harbour, situated on the beautiful Northumbrian coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Seahouses offers a variety of shops and a good selection of inns, pubs and eating places. Nearby are miles and miles of splendid sandy beaches and the opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from Seahouses, is not to be missed. There are numerous castles and great houses to explore, such as the magnificent castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick (home of the Duke of Northumberland), to mention just a few. Golf, fishing and riding are also available locally.

Please note: this property will only accept arrivals on a Saturday. Short breaks only available between November and March and cannot cross a Saturday changeover.
