    The property is perfectly located within Percy Woods with a super view over the golf course to the coast beyond. The owner, Kim is very welcoming and prepares her property to a very high standard. Everything needed for your stay is thoughtfully provided. A super ‘welcome’ package greets you on arrival; a very caring addition and much appreciated. The lodge is very comfortable, in good repair and easy to manage. It is good to come home to after a day’s activity. Those activities range ...

A super ‘welcome’ package greets you on arrival; a very caring addition and much appreciated. The lodge is very comfortable, in good repair and easy to manage. It is good to come home to after a day’s activity. Those activities range from historic castles, museums, coastal walks and boat excursions to offshore islands. This is such a wonderful location right in the middle of interests to suit everyone. In summary, highly recommended for location, value for money, comfort and good overall experience.

A delightful wooden lodge on the popular Percy Wood Country Park in Swarland, Northumberland. This stunning lodge sits on the edge of the park and has breathtaking views over the golf course to the sea. All on one level, this spacious lodge is the perfect base for discovering the delights of this stunning county and ideal for discerning friends or couples seeking quality accommodation. This delightful lodge has two double bedrooms (both with walk-in wardrobes) and one with an en-suite shower room. There is an open plan living space with well-equipped kitchen and dining area, together with a comfortable seating area with reclining leather furniture and an electric fire. The accommodation is complete with a family bathroom room. There are sliding doors leading out to the charming decked area with furniture, a perfect place to sit and watch the comings and goings on the golf course whilst marvelling at the views of the shimmering sea in the distance. Percy Wood Country Park sits in stunning countryside and has an abundance of wildlife, including red squirrels, barn owls and roe deer. From your Percy Wood lodge, you are just a short drive from historic Alnwick, home to Alnwick Castle and Gardens. With glorious beaches and castles in abundance, this is an excellent location for golfers, couples or a family holiday. A perfect destination at any time of the year.

SWARLAND

Alnwick 6 miles, Morpeth 12 miles.

The delightful village of Swarland is set in rural Northumberland, between Morpeth to the south and Alnwick to the north. The village has Nelsons, situated in the sports hall, which is open seven days a week, serving excellent coffee and meals, a children’s play area and tennis courts. It is just 8 miles from Alnwick, with its castle and garden, which features Europe's largest cascading water feature, an enormous tree house, a rose garden and an ornamental walled garden. The castle is also famous as the setting for Hogwarts School featured in the Harry Potter films. Alnwick offers a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat. There is plenty to see and do near to Swarland, with miles of golden sandy beaches, numerous castles and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands all available nearby. Brinkburn Priory is a pleasant drive away, a restored Augustinian Priory in a most lovely setting beside the River Coquet. Just 10 minutes’ drive to the west is the National Trust’s Cragside House and Gardens. Altogether a perfect location for exploring Northumberland and its stunning Heritage Coastline.
