Venture inside to find two sitting areas to unwind in, one of which is a pleasant sitting room, where cushioned seating rests in front of the crackling woodburning stove and TV. The sunroom is nearby and offers more seating, and offers lovely rural views from its windows; the space also offers a TV, and is ideal for those wanting to unwind in a quieter space. When you're feeling peckish, wander over to the kitchen/diner, a space packed with charm and character, thanks to the exposed stonework and it is well-equipped with appliances too, including a washing machine and dishwasher. Once the budding chef of the group has prepared a tasty dinner, enjoy it at the six-seater dining table in the kitchen, or take it outside to the garden, where you can dine amidst those idyllic views. As the day winds to a close, choose one of the three tastefully furnished bedrooms to enjoy a well-earned rest in, with two of these featuring super-king-size beds, both of which are zip/linked for extra flexibility, and the latter comprising a sumptuous king-size bedroom with access to an en-suite shower room. The family bathroom rests further down the corridor and boasts a bateau bath, where you can enjoy soothing dips among the bubbles, as well as a separate walk-in shower. Make the most of the spacious garden, a space featuring a large lawn that is perfect for ball games, along with a hot tub, where you can unwind after a fun-filled day. When it comes to your amenities, they lie moments' away in the village of Longframlington, including two welcoming pubs, a bakery, butchers and a supermarket. Be sure to head to Rothbury, a market town enjoying access to a fantastic golf club, alongside the National Trust property of Cragside, a rural manor house with fantastic displays, stunning gardens and access to Tumbleton Lake. Head further into the Northumberland National Park and embark on the Simonside Walk, where the wonders of Thompson's Rock and Lordenshaw Hill Fort can be found. Amble is a scenic drive away and ideal for a coastal day out, where a delightful beach with vibrant beach huts, a quaint harbour offering access to puffin cruises and a bustling harbour market await! If you're looking for more days out on the coast, be sure to venture to the picture-postcard locations of Alnwick and Alnmouth; alternatively, if a day out in the city is your thing, then Newcastle also rests within reach and offers plenty of activities. Just 10 minutes’ drive to the west is the National Trust’s Cragside House and Gardens, whilst the Heritage Coast is just a 15-minute drive to the east, offering miles of clean sandy beaches. The historic town of Alnwick, with its impressive Castle and Garden, lies just 11 miles to the north and is well worth a visit. With the spectacular National Park also within easy reach, this superb base is ideal for exploring Northumberland or taking a relaxing break!
