    “Lovely place to stay.”

    Perfect location close to the beach and shops in Alnmouth. Great base for walking. Comfy and cosy with a great log fire. We stayed here early Oct 2025 and again in early November 2025.

Old Stable Cottage is just a short walk from the centre of Alnmouth and the sandy beach and estuary.

It has been extensively modernised and combines amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen, range cooker and cosy log burning stove while still retaining the features of the old stable.

It benefits from a ground floor double bedroom and bathroom. GROUND FLOOR Living room with dining area, large flat screen TV/DVD Blu Ray and log burner. Kitchen with cooker, gas hob, electric oven, washer/ dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, WC and basin. FIRST FLOOR Bedroom 2 with twin beds. Bedroom 3 with king-size bed, en suite shower, WC and basin. OTHER FACILITIES Gas central heating.

All domestic power, starter fuel for fire, bed linen and towels included in rent.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.
