Lovely cottage well equipped and clean .

Beds are super comfy and it’s in a good location just a short drive from the coast . The outdoor space needs a tidy and new outdoor furniture but it didn’t spoil our holiday would definately return .

Lovely place to stay on holiday or just to get some peace and quiet for a week or more, every thing you may need is in the cottage and the groceries can be purchased in shops in the nearby towns, Seahouses has a very good Co-op and there is a one hour free car park nearby just press the green button and you will have a one hour stay no cost involved.

We had a lovely week staying at this property.

Particularly impressed with the super comfy beds. The cottage was well equipped with everything we could need. A great location for exploring the beautiful Northumberland coastline. This is just a very small thing but would have been a nice touch if there as a pint of milk or pack of biscuits as a welcome. All other cottages i've stayed in have left something, but it wouldn't stop me booking the cottage again.

Good, large rooms.

Large beds and good quality bedding and towels. Good central heating with simple boost control. Easy parking for two cars. On a quiet lane, with no noise from mainline at Chathill. Lovely to sit out at back with an cuppa and look across the field after a long dog walk on the coast. Great dark sky for star watching at night. Minor point: Cottage handbook could do with updating for 2026 (bins, recycling, tide times, local shops etc)

We had a lovely holiday at Dunrovin, perfect place to relax and unwind.

The cottage is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Lovely and cosy to return to after a day out. It is in a great location, very peaceful, rural setting and perfectly placed for getting around the coast. Beadnell, Seahouses and Bamburgh only a short drive away. the cottage is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. This is our 3rd visit and we hope to be back next year. There is so much to explore in the area. The info folder could do with updating - Holy island tide times were for 2023! Thanks you for a lovely holiday stay, see you again next year.

Fantastic cottage in a rural setting with enclosed garden ideal for pets!

Extremely comfortable and warm. Very well equipped! Beds extremely comfortable with beautiful bedding and the shower was most welcome! The location was spot on for sightseeing around Northumberland. Can't wait to return! Thankyou

Cosy, comfortable cottage.

Most comfortable bed we have slept in, in a holiday home. The only complaints there wasn't a welcome pack, and no curtains at the patio doors.

Lovely shower and towels and comfortable wide bed. In a very quiet spot and no street lights which normally light up the bedroom. The walls of the cottage are really thick and you can't hear what the weather is doing. Would recommend.

Our second visit to Dunrovin.

The property is clean comfortable and very well equipped. A welcome pack milk tea coffee logs and matchers would be appreciated as in other cottages we have used. The path to door is very overgrown not good on a wet day. The patio furniture still looks very shabby..But wouldn't put us off using property again.

The cottage had everything we needed, it was spotless in every room and the kitchen was well equipped.

The bed was clean and comfortable but the lounge furniture left a lot to be desired. It looked lovely in the description on your site but sitting on it was a very uncomfortable experience to such an extent we left a day early as we couldn’t stand it any longer. Both my wife and myself had severe back pain as a result of sitting on the furniture.

Great comfy property in good location.

Very clean. Would have been nice to have a few little touches such as hand wash, more toilet tissue, salt, pepper, a small welcome pack on arrival (tea, milk, etc) No lighter or matches for the fire. Just some small basic touches would have elevated the experience.

We enjoyed our holiday at Dunrovin, this was our 4th visit.

The house was clean and comfortable but we were disappointed in the patio area. The patio furniture was looking tired and the area was in urgent need of weeding and a good tidy up. It would help if the fence surrounding the patio area could be made dog proof. One of our little dogs managed to escape into the adjacent field a couple of times.

Second visit to Dunrovin Lovely comfortable, clean cottage with a well equipped kitchen Blackout curtains in bedroom would be good Good location to visit the many beautiful places in Northumberland Our dog loved walking with us on the fantastic beaches particularly Beadnell and Alnmouth Will be back again and would recommend to friends

Very comfortable, and clean accommodation.

Kitchen is very well equipped. Very light inside,with dual aspect windows in kitchen, sitting room and bedroom Located in quiet hamlet,easy reach of Bamburgh,Seahouses and Beadnell.

Highlights of the cottage: > Really lovely quiet rural location but close to beautiful beaches and major tourist attractions > Excellently equipped, especially the kitchen > Comfy lounge perfect for the evening, cosy fire when chilly or french doors to open and enjoy the evening sunshine Even better if: > There were summer weight duvets - quiet warm at night!

> A full length mirror was in one of the bedrooms > Up to date information about bins was available (provided schedule was for 2023 and no information about what could go in the recycling bin)

A perfect base for our holiday, lovely quiet position but only a short drive from Beadnell, Seahouses or Bamburgh.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay in Dunrovin - it’s perfectly situated for the beautiful Northumberland coast and further afield but also cosy and comfortable.

It would have been helpful if I had been informed that the garden outside the kitchen door was private belonging to the cottage next door.

A welcome pack would have been a nice gesture.

The bushes outside the entrance were very overgrown and long creepers were a danger to anyone arriving in the dark getting into and out of the property we got our coats wet i did tell the owner about this

. clean ....outside areas need urgent attention. shrubs block front entrance we got soaked trying to get in and out back patio although rural needs an overall.bathroom is rather cold towel rail too small and water not hot enough for a good shower okay on warmer weather I'm sure overall clean and cosy bed comfy In comparison to the other let's Dubrovin on the outside looks rather scruffy again due to some outside attention Curtain linings work a treat in the front bedroom but from outside they look a bit of a mess hanging down My comments are not detrimental in any way but constructive as it is a nice cottage

A beautiful, cosy cottage that was very comfortable and was equipped with everything we could need.

The positives are that the property is well located as it is a short drive to local beaches.

The beds are comfortable and towels are provided. There is a nice view over farmland and parking is close and easy. The kitchen is well equipped and there is both a dishwasher and washing machine. We were concerned about the cleanliness. After 5 minutes in the property we were all covered in dog hair. There were large clumps on the carpets which hadn't been vacuumed. I cleaned this myself and filled the vacuum with dog hair. The attachment to the shower was also missing which made it difficult to shower young children and also clean the shower after use. There was a bit of a smell which we noticed on entering the property but not sure what was causing it. Make sure you bring basic supplies such as hand wash, toilet roll and salt. A few dish washer tablets were left which was thoughtful and they also left tea towels. The guest book had lots of useful information.

We have stayed in many Sykes holiday cottages.

This was the best comfortable and well equipped by far. The only thing that lets it down is the patio area. Very overgrown with weeds and shrubs. The bushes by the front door also need a little trim. Shame as the view is stunning. Wouldn't put me off recommending or visiting again.

The cottage was lovely, a Great place to visit all the beautiful beaches and harbours Northumberland.

There was nothing that we needed that was not there. Beautiful area of the country, extremely quiet. A definite booking for anyone, young or old, would totally recommend.

The property is very comfortable. We love the location, set in a quiet rural hamlet but in an ideal position for visiting all the attractions along this part of the Northumberland coast.

Our only wish is for black out curtains that are efficient in the big double bedroom. The smaller window now has suitable blackouts, but the one overlooking the car park are ill fitting and inadequate. Otherwise very comfortable accommodation.

We absolutely loved our stay at dunrovin, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner a couple time who is super lovely and very helpful.

Dunrovin is a lovely cottage with everything you need for a fantastic stay, in a perfect location for exploring the coasts and castles of Northumberland. The cottage was actually bigger than I thought it was going to be, and the extra touches that I wasn't expecting were fantastic like towels, tea towels and a couple of dishwasher tablets. Over all I'd highly recommend

Fantastic little cottage all on one level.

Very spacious and well equipped. Beautiful setting in a small rural hamlet but within easy driving distance to amenities in Seahouses. Ideally positioned for exploring the Northumbrian coastline. The cottage has open aspect to front and rear of the property with lovely views of surrounding countryside. Would definitely stay again in this little gem!

A lovely welcoming cottage.

Very comfortable and well equipped in a peaceful location. Unfortunately we had to cut our holiday short due to a family bereavement and so did not get to enjoy Dunrovin and Northumberland to the full but we will book this cottage again and hope to return very soon. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

Dunrovin is a lovely little cottage just a few miles from Seahouses.

We had an amazing time here. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The terrace was perfect for the dogs and because there is wire between each bar on the fence, we felt confident they couldn't get into the field. The cottage was clean, and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would have no hesitation in returning. We visited Berwick, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Wooler, Morpeth, and Lindisfarne. All lovely in their own way. In the cottage my only suggestion would be could you put a baking tray or or pizza tray in the cupboard? We couldn't find anything big enough to cook pizza on. Otherwise it was an amazing cottage, in a beautiful and perfect location, with easy access to all the attractions, enabling us to have an incredible holiday. Thankyou

Property could do with some comfortable furniture in the living room as they seem quite dated also couldn’t let the dogs on the patio as they could get through the fence into the field of sheep strips of wood or something like that would be helpful

We really enjoyed our stay at Dunrovin and the location was perfect.

I just wanted to say thank you for enabling us to have a lovely break during our first visit to Northumberland - what a fantastic place, full of unspoilt, beautiful countryside.

The home was just what we needed to enjoy the area and very conveniently situated to visit places like Alnwick and Bamburgh. The set up at the house was very well thought through, we all that we needed for cooking our own meals, a lovely log burner to enjoy in the evenings and dry off from dips in the sea, a lovely living space with gorgeous views over the countryside in a nice quiet village. A very good experience, thank you.

Our second visit to Dunrovin.

A very comfortable and homely property in a lovely quiet hamlet. It is well equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable holiday. One suggestion - the patio area backs on to farmland where there are livestock grazing. We have two little dogs who could easily jump up and get through the fence into the field so they had to be constantly supervised while outside. Some 'chicken wire' around the fence would have prevented them getting into the field and made it more relaxing for us while we were around the cottage.

We love the situation, it is so quiet and peaceful. The only thing which would help us with our visit would be blackout blinds in the main bedroom.

Perfect cottage for us (family of 4 plus 2 dogs). Lovely decoration and furniture and paintings. Equipment provided was good quality eg decent knives, good selection of glasses etc and crockery. Great location and nice being in a tiny hamlet. Would happily return… Thank you to the owners…
