Seahouses 3.4 miles. Farnelea is a charming, single-story cottage located in the quiet village of West Fleetham, Northumberland, close to the conveniences of Seahouses. Farnelea offers a stylish yet charming home for a family getaway, welcoming six guests, enjoying views of the surrounding countryside and a peaceful setting while being close to the Northumberland Coast AONB and its golden shoreline. Reach the cottage via a country lane, arriving to designated parking, before making your way indoors to reach the fully-equipped kitchen/diner, complete with bespoke, wooden cabinetry and a variety of appliances to make your stay easier. Prepare delicious meals and eat indoors, or find one of the private patio locations, which are also great for sharing meals. Enter the sitting room to be greeted by high ceilings with exposed beams and antique furnishings, including plush seats, a woodburning stove that is surrounded by stonework, and a Smart TV. Continue to Bamburgh Beach for further breath-taking views of the majestic castle or climb up to the lighthouse for a fantastic vantage point with views of Inner Farne Lighthouse. Nearby are miles and miles of splendid sandy beaches and the opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from Seahouses, is not to be missed. There are numerous castles and great houses to explore, such as the magnificent castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick (home of the Duke of Northumberland), to mention just a few.
