Bracken Barn Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this lovely, comfortable and well equipped cottage which also boasts a spacious parking area.

It is perfectly located for enjoying the beautiful costal route of Northumberland. Even sitting at the dining table offers a view over the fields. Sue and John are friendly and very helpful hosts; nothing is too much trouble for them. We unreservedly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to explore this wonderful county.

Booked primarily because of earlier excellent reviews which were well justified. Quietly helpful owners who, despite us knowing the area fairly well, gave some great new recommendations for visits. Cottage faultless and easy adjacent parking. Buses to Newcastle and Alnwick at the end of the road. Would certainly hope to return.

Great cottage, been here many times its lovely and comfy and great for exploring Northumberland and the owners Sue and John are very friendly and helpful .

Accomodation was excellent, very comfortable bed and powerful shower and everything at hand in the living/kitchen. Lovely location with views to match with walks nearby if you wished. After a difficult time this was the perfect chill out stay for my wife. Will definitely return.

We recently spent a fantastic week at Bracken Barn Cottage and highly recommend it.

The property is incredibly comfortable, exceptionally well-equipped, and perfectly situated within easy reach of all the major local attractions. We especially loved being able to head out onto great walks directly from the front door. A massive bonus is The Widdrington Pub, which is just a short walk away and serves excellent food. Huge thanks to the owners, Sue and John, who made us feel so welcome and gave us brilliant advice on places to visit without ever being obtrusive. We had a perfect stay and would certainly visit again.

Wi Fi a bit dodgy at times but plenty lovely places to visit and a 5 min drive to the lovely beach. Owners perfect. Very friendly and there if you need them but leave me alone as it's my retreat. Will be back. x

Bracken Barn Cottage is a spaciously cosy, comfortable, and clean holiday accommodation - the owners have taken great care in providing everything needed for a care-free stay, with nothing lacking for convenience and relaxation, inside and out.

Sue & John, the friendly owners are on hand to provide a warm welcome, and are readily available to help whilst respecting your privacy throughout your stay. It really is as good as it gets. Widdrington is a superb basis for a holiday in the southern half of Northumberland - a quiet location, close to the glorious Druridge Bay beach and nature reserve (40 minutes walk from the cottage, or 2 mins by car) and within short travelling distances of the lovely harbour town of Amble, Alnwick, the coastal towns of Blyth, Whitley Bay, Seahouses, & Newbiggin, Castles, historic houses, and museums aplenty --- not forgetting the Widdrington Inn, just a couple of minutes stroll from the cottage (superb food, and a fine range of beers and spirits). I thoroughly enjoyed my fortnight's stay here, and fully intend to make Bracken Barn Cottage my base for a future Northumberland holiday before long. Looking forward to it already!

A quiet comfortable house with everything we needed.

Although close to a public house there was no noise. Plenty of things to do in the area.

Welcomed by the owners on arrival and given relevant info about the cottage.

Tea coffee and biscuits in the cottage so we could have drink straight away. It's situated in a quiet location but only 2 mins walk from the bus coastal bus route.Ideal for doing coastal walks and visiting other places. Outside seating areas, one over looking a field and long distance views.Local pub 2 mins walk made excellent meals.Well equipment and well maintained cottage. We d definitely return here. Thank you

). The cottage is beautifully presented and maintained. It has everything you would need for a self-catering break in a beautiful area of the country. The beaches are unsurpassed, clean white sand. We visited Alnwick castle, Warkworth Castle, Cragside and Wallington, all within 45 minutes drive. The Widdrington Inn is just around the corner, very handy for tasty, well cooked food and a refreshing drink after a long day out. Wonderful!

In walking distance of Druridge bay’s beautiful golden sandy beach. Country park nearby. Quiet roads give quick access to Alnwick and the entire Northumberland coast. Highly recommended.

Sue and John have obviously put a lot of thought into this cottage and it shows.

Everything you could possibly need is here from an iron to an air fryer. Comfortable bed and sofa made relaxing very easy. Sue even gave us some carrots for the horses in the adjoining field! Would have no hesitation whatsoever in highly recommending this accommodation

We stayed at Bracken Barn Cottage over the Christmas period.

The property was lovely and bigger inside than what it looked from the outside. There was everything we need and it was lovely and cosy inside, if we needed anything we just needed to ask Sue it wasn't a problem. The welcome pack was fantastic we have never had one like it full of goodies. We will definitely be back the cottage was a fantastic base for the coast and Morpeth.

A warm welcome from the owners, with a nice welcome pack included. Sue and John have done a great job renovating the building onto a surprisingly spacious and comfortable cottage for two. We both found the bed extremely comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay, except a colander which would be handy. I didn't particularly like the cutlery, flat pressed steel knives and forks let the rest of the equipment Down, but that is just a small niggle. The views from the window overlooking the fields was great, plenty of birds, and two horses to watch. All in all a smashing stay and would fully recommend l.

Situated next to the owners property it’s within driving distance from the Northumberland coast ,There's a train station in Alnmouth which serves the ECML about a 20 min drive away . Very cosy place ,quiet with views overlooking fields .Well recommended.

This was a lovely cottage and the friendly owners were on hand if we needed to know anything and were very good at recommending places to see.

The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable and well situated for fabulous views and great historical venues. The coast here is breathtakingly beautiful and is only a few moments away in the car!

) Lovely, beautifully furnished, well equipped cottage, overlooking the fields and owners garden which, like the cottage, was immaculately maintained. Easy private parking, two minutes walk to a great pub which served excellent food. We felt comfortable from the minute we arrived and met Sue and John, the owners. Within easy reach of the beautiful Northumbrian coastal resorts. If, like my husband, Wi-Fi is essential for you, even on holiday, this was a bit slow and I could not get it at all. Perhaps an extender may help. But please do not let that deter you from booking this wonderful venue.

The cottage is comfortable, clean and well-equipped. We loved the peace, watching the birds and horses from the window. The pub nearby served some great meals. The owners were friendly and helpful. It is well placed to visit Alnwick and Bamburgh or down to Tynemouth and Newcastle.

We loved everything about the stay.

The very comfortable cottage with it's nautical theme, which was easy to keep cosy in the cool weather. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The pub just out the gate and a minute down the road served great food. It was lovely and relaxing to sit in the window and watch the sheep, lambs, ponies in the adjacent field. We could not fault our stay and will be booking again in the future.

This is a delightful cottage in a quiet, traffic free location.

Perfect for the two of us and an ideal location for walking, birdwatching and cycling. It was our second stay here and we found it cosy and comfortable with an excellent pub just two minutes walk down the road. There is a handy Park Run nearby at the Druridge Bay Country Park!

Really comfortable holiday cottage.

It has everything you need and the bed is really comfy too. Close to the beach and bird life, extremely quiet at night, very peaceful. Lovely setting.

Where can I start.

This property is perfect for a romantic get away. This is the perfect location, right next to a pub that serves great beer, great food, but for those not into that kind of stuff, it is near a bus stop. Where you can explore the wonderful areas of Northumberland, Sue & John are the perfect hosts, they catered to our needs, offered helpful advice on exploring and were very helpful for when we needed to talk to them. They both are very down to earth and treated us with respect. The cottage itself, upon arrival, it was very clean, not any dust in sight, and it smelled very fresh! It was kitted out with everything we needed, but I also liked the extras, the bird feeder, where you can see all the birds eat out, throughout the day. Seeing all the beautiful pheasants and horses run around in the field! The bed, was very comfy, and we had good night sleeps on it. The exterior, it had an amazing patio where you can just sit and chill, which would be perfect in the summer! We had the best holiday here, and I honestly would stay here again. The price is very reasonable, I am very surprised I managed to book this holiday for the price I did, because this cottage was a absolute gem. We will definitely be returning in the future.

An ideal location to explore Northumberland and its stunning scenery.

Although just off the tourist route it is very accessible. The owners ( who live on site) are very friendly and welcoming. The Xmas welcome hamper and festive decorations were a complete surprise. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage and will certainly try to return again.

Had a lovely stay at Bracken Barn Cottage.

Sue and John were on hand if anything was needed but not intrusive. The cottage was nice and cozy and spotlessly clean with some lovely touches. I'm missing sitting in the window whilst having my breakfast and watching the pheasants running around in the field. Great pub literally two minutes walk away that does lovely food... would highly recommend the fish and chips. All in all couldn't fault it but make sure you take your slippers because the tile floors in the bathroom and lounge, although there are rugs in the lounge, can be a bit cold on bare feet, especially when it's as cold as it was when we were there. We hope to go back soon.

A cosy well equipped cottage for two.

Very helpful owners on site. Convenient location. Pub next door excellent meals together with The Drift Cafe at Cresswell with the added bonus of a Greek restaurant in the evening.

Quietly tucked away in the corner of the owner’s lovely garden, we enjoyed a peaceful week’s stay at this comfortable, well equipped and cosy property.

Bracken Farm Cottage is beautiful, very cosy, you feel like you are in the middle of the country side, but everything is near by, lovely pub 1 minutes walk.

The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners couldn't do anymore, lovely people. Lots of very interesting places to visit, beautiful beaches, wildlife very close by. The cottage was very reasonably priced, we couldn't ask for anymore, a great holiday.

A lovely and peaceful cottage, perfect for exploring the Northumbrian coastline . We had everything we needed with the bonus of a powerful shower, a really comfy bed and friendly cows in the field outside. The wifi connection was intermittent but that wouldn’t be an issue for many. The pub next door is good for food and for sampling the local ales. We would definitely stay here again .

Sue and John, the owners, are just super, friendly, helpful and feel like old friends. The cottage is immaculate with lovely little touches around. The pub next door does good food and has a nice atmosphere. It is a good base for exploring the area with lots of lovely quiet beaches, little towns and gentle countryside.

Bracken Barn Cottage was perfect for our week’s stay in Northumberland.

Ideally situated and easy to find, it proved a great base to explore from, whether that be a walk through the fields and bird sanctuary to the beach, or short trips out to Newbiggin, Morpeth, Rothbury, Amble, Alnwick or Seahouses. The cottage contained everything you would require and was in pristine condition. It was especially nice to see the various birds feeding outside the window. The Widdrington Arms, just a minute’s stroll away was a lovely venue for an early evening drink or a meal ……. very handy !! Sue and John were perfect hosts …. never intrusive, but always available to answer any questions or queries. Overall, a great cottage in a great location - therefore we highly recommend it. The cottage we stayed in was so nice and Sue was very helpful.

Very clean and well thought out. The only negative is against Sykes itself as I booked 2 nights (this was in the drop down option) and only found out later that whether you stay for 2 or 3 nights you are charged the same. But it still requested you could not check in till 3 which I feel is very unfair. Not sure I would book with this company again

It was like home from home and the owners were very welcoming.

The cottage is brilliant and it is a good location for exploring the Northumberland coast. Durridge Bay is great for a lovely walk along the beach as just 5 minutes away and great cafe.

Have just recently came back after spending 5 nights here.

The property had a great view outside, and the facilities inside were also very good. A comfortable atmosphere and very clean and well looked after. Only a short drive to get to some scenic areas and shopping locations. Would happily recommend this property to others looking to go away.

Fabulous cottage!

Exceptionally clean, very well decorated and had everything we needed for a quiet week away. Sue and John were there to meet us and explain the cottage "workings" and the local area. Such a lovely couple, nothing was too much trouble and there was a complimentary basket of goodies for us to enjoy too. The Widdrington Inn was only steps away from the cottage and we had some lovely meals there. The cottage is well placed for Alnwick, Seaham, Amble (lovely Sunday market) and Morpeth, to name a few "hotspots". We spent a day in Edinburgh - train from Morpeth only took an hour and a half. I understand that from December one can get to Edinburgh from the local Widdrington Station (about a mile and a half from the cottage). There is also a co-op store at Widdrington Station which was handy for the few bits that we needed, next door to which is a Fish and Chip Shop which I believe opens about 4.30 in the afternoon. Definitely would go back to this cottage and have already recommended it to some of our friends. Lovely area, people very friendly. Ooh, nearly forgot, try visiting Walkworth - small village lovely gift shop at reasonable prices.

Very well placed for the coastal path walks and Amble.

Druridge Country Park, a few minutes away, backs on to the Bay, miles of golden sands. Beautifully decorated cottage with luxury bathroom, bath and shower. Rural views of fields with sheep from the dining room table and plenty of activity on the bird feeders. Very comfortable and warm, loads of very hot water. All you could need for self catering but there is a pub within a short walk! Owners were very helpful but unobtrusive, the property is totally self contained at the rear of their garden, quite private. The garden and furniture are available if required and there are also washing facilities and a shared drying room if you need it. Very enjoyable stay, thank you Sue.

We had an amazing time staying at Bracken Barn Cottage.

From the moment we stepped inside it was like a home from home. Sue and John had thought of everything and were on hand if we needed anything.So peaceful and tranquil and a joy to sit and watch the comings and going’s of the birds from the window. Lovely garden to enjoy in warmer weather, and perfectly situated for Druridge beach. Perfect base for seeing all that Northumberland and the North East has to offer. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back.

Tastefully decorated. All facilities within the cottage more than adequate. Next door to the only proper restaurant between Morpeth & Amble. Every day we were greeted by the dawn chorus plus visits from sheep, horses & cattle, all safely behind a barbed wire topped fence. Lovely.

The owners were very helpful and gave us some suggestions of places to visit while we were there.

Also we had permission to use their garden whwn it was sunny . We could also use their laundry room and have the use of sun loungers if required. Overall we were very pleased with the accommodation

Two glorious beaches on the doorstep with a nice cafe near by. Pub round the corner (no dogs) with a few more a 5min drive away in the car. Sue & John were excellent and knowledgeable hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The owners were very pleasant and helpful, even to telling us about places of interest to see. we had lovely views over the farm land and was visited by various animals and were kept amused by the many birds that came to use the feeder just outside the window.

The cottage was really cosy and comfortable with great attention to detail and pride in its appearance. The location of Widdrington was most central giving access to many towns and beaches. The village has an impressive looking pub - a great shame it was closed due to Covid! We enjoy walking, and there were so many that we were spoilt for choice. Bracken Barn Cottage is an ideal holiday choice for two people, and we can't wait to return.

Bracken Barn Cottage is a very comfortable, well equipped, serene place.

It overlooks a field with a few sheep and a couple of horses on one side and the owner's large garden on the other. Nice to sit out in the evening, feeling close to nature. The front area with patio furniture gets the morning sun, so good for al fresco breakfast. The wifi is very good. The dining table overlooked the bird feeders, which were well visited. Parking is just outside the cottage. The owners were brilliant and showed great hospitality. It's an easy 1.5 mile walk via a footpath down to the beach and nature reserve, where we had great sightings of avocets, and yellow wagtails. Cycle route 1 gives easy access to Amble and Warkworth. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful part of the world.

We really enjoyed our week at Bracken Barn in a beautiful garden with outside seating the cottage is very comfortable top quality fixtures and fittings lovely comfortable king sized bed.

The property is accessed via a fairly steep but short slope which maybe difficult for some people to access.

Our hostess was very welcoming notwithstanding the current health situation and we were greeted with a lovely box of chocolates and a bottle of wine, which was lovely. The bed was spacious and comfortable; the living area and kitchen was light and airy with a seaside theme which added to the holiday feel. We can recommend the pub 100 yards around the corner, the food is good and well priced. The horses and cows in thee adjoining field are very friendly and if you stand by the fence they will come over and say 'hello' . All in all a great location for exploring Northumberland and would thoroughly recommend this as a good place to stay.

The cottage was well equipped, very clean with the best bed we have slept in for a long while.

The cottage despite being next door to the pub was tranquil and restful. John our host booked a meal in the pub for us the food was excellent . John and Sue were on hand if needed but they had thought of everything . Including tea, coffee, sugar and a welcome bottle of wine. Superb hosts and would not hesitate to stay at Bracken Barn cottage again and recommend to friends. It is ideally located to visit many of the attractions and towns in the area. Despite storm ' Ciara' arriving during our break nothing dampened our spirits, in fact it was brilliant to watch the stormy seas on the nearby beach. We had a thoroughly enjoyable quiet and relaxing week.

We were looking for a comfortable quiet retreat in a secluded situation yet close to shops and places to eat and not far from places of interest, the cottage ticked all the boxes.

We had a homely welcome from Sue and John who assured us that they were on hand if any problems occurred,we settled down to a relaxing week enjoying some great meals at the local pub and touring the area. All rounded off with a bottle of wine from Sue and John

We had such a lovely welcome, our hosts did everything to ensure we enjoyed our holiday and nothing was too much trouble.

Druridge Bay is just a few minutes away in the car and is stunning, as were all the beaches we visited in the area. We would not hesitate in recommending the cottage or the area, superb!

The best holiday cottage we have stayed in lovely and clean everything you needed , the bed was really comfortable, fabulous view of horses in the field.

The cottage was exactly as advertised.

Although in the grounds of the owners they were there, but were unobtrusive if you like your privacy. I was ideally situated for easy access to the Northumberland coast and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It was comfortable and I had everything I needed including a bottle of wine to welcome me and a plate full of Quality Street. Both nice touches. Was there any drawback. Yes there was. As from next year they will not be accepting bookings from people who want to bring dogs, which is a great shame, as I am a dog owner and it will stop me from going again. However as it probably smelt doggy after I left you cannot blame them as they have to think of other non-doggy people.

A quiet cottage tucked away in the corner of the owner's property.

John and Sue were most welcoming and determined to make it home from home. The property is very private, quiet and secluded within the lovely, well kept garden. Location is a few miles off the A1 and within a couple of miles of the coast and Druridge Bay. (National Trust - freely accessible to all.) We found the cottage tbe be very coveniently placed for all the placed fo all the areas we wished to visit. Should you be put off by the proximity of the pub, firstly it offers excellent meals at great quality and there absolutely Zero noise. Food supplies (small but well stocked Coop) and petrol are easy to obtain in the next village or Amble (5 miles).. If we return to Northumberland this is where we will stay.

A really beautiful cottage.

Well equipped and beautifully decorated. The owners are lovely and very helpful. They even left bowls, throws and a chew for the dog! The beach is close and wonderfully quiet, great for dog walking. An added bonus is the proximity of a pub that serves good food!

A lot of care and attention to detail has clearly gone into the renovation and furnishing of this cottage, which is superbly located for exploring the Northumberland coast and Tyneside.

There are wonderful sandy beaches and nature reserves within walking distance, an excellent pub-restaurant next door, and the owners were very friendly and welcoming.

The cottage was exactly what we were looking for which was a quite rural location close to a main road.

There is an excellent dog walking area which was important to us and most tourist attractions were within a thirty minute drive.

It was everything we could have wanted and more besides.

As our first experience of Sykes Cottages it ticked all the boxes for us from standard of accommodation to availability of suitable facilities. We had a very enjoyable break and will be certainly be looking toward to future holidays with your company.

Although the property is in the grounds close to the owners own home this was never an issue.

The hosts, john and Sue, were warm, helpful and friendly. The property has been a well thoughtout development and fitted to high standards. An excellent pub next door provides good food at sensible prices. A comfortable property in an ideal location to explore the coast.

Convenient location for visiting places of interest and beautiful coastline. Two minutes walk from pub, which served excellent quality food at very reasonable prices. Very warm welcome from owners, who were nearby to help with any queries. If we visit this area another time we would definitely stay at this cottage again.

The owners of the cottage are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

They make you very welcome and explain everything about the cottage and are always there if you need extra help. We have already booked for next year 2019 to make sure we can visit again. The cottage is dog friendly and the owners welcome them too.

It is situated in a good central area for getting around to places of interest but in a quiet little spot of Widdrington. The Pub Restaurant is a very short walk away and is excellent, the food is very good with a wide range of dishes on the . menu. I would recommend both the cottage and the Pub to anyone who wishes to holiday in that area.

Pleasantly decorated in a seaside theme. Owners John and sue were very friendly and helpful. Conveniently situated only a mile from the coast and nature parks. Very good pub next to cottage for meals and only 100 yards from bus stop where there is a twice hourly service between Newcastle and Alnwick (and hourly to Berwick) so if you have a bus pass you do not need to drive every day to visit the many attrative towns and parks.

A perfect base to enjoy and explore Northumberland. Many places, walks and beaches within a short distance and easy access. Excellent variety of places to eat. A dogs paradise for walks, runs and swims. The owners of Bracken Cottage live in the grounds and greet guests with a genuine welcome and are happy to offer advice on places and travel to make a holiday special.

This is a lovely renovated cottage and we enjoyed our stay.

The owners were pleasant and helpful. It is ideally located for exploring the fantastic Northumberland coast. It should be noted that there is a steep slope from the driveway down to the cottage and this should be stated in the main details so that the elderly, infirm or disabled are informed before they book. A number of things would have improved our and any other guests stay: it definitely needs a full sized bread board/glass workshop protector as the small plastic boards provided are unless when preparing food, the selection of knives is poor, it would have been nice to have some kitchen foil for cooking purposes, the bath is lovely but it’s a shame such small towels are provided, take your own bath sheets. The shower is very basic and hard to maintain a constant temperature. The seating is very uncomfortable and it was only on the last day that the owners told us that it was actually a fold out bed which helped a little. I’m sure that if the room was rearranged, a better, more comfortable sofa could be provided as it was disappointing to come back after a great day out to being uncomfortable in the evening. The cottage only gets sun in the morning in the area provided and as you are not allowed to use any of the owners grass, there is nowhere to sit outside and enjoy the sun. We would recommend the area for fantastic dog friendly beaches and great coastline. We would not however return to this cottage. ********** Owner Response: ********** I would like to thank Mrs Hardy for taking the time to notify Sykes of her feedback and I would like to respond to this in order to reassure her and our future guests that we have taken these comments on board. The slope to the cottage can be seen on image 1 of the Sykes website, I'm not sure if it could be classed as steep. Our previous guests have included an elderly gentleman in a wheelchair and a person who depended on a portable oxygen machine to get around and the various knee and hip replacement guests which did not pose a problem. The small chopping boards have been replaced with a large glass one, a new set of kitchen knives added. As for the request for tin foil, our guests receive tea, coffee, milk, sugar, biscuits and wine which is usually appreciated. Bath sheets as well as bath towels have now been provided. The shower works directly from the new Combi boiler and the water pressure is excellent so not sure how the temperature was not maintained, it was working fine when tested as confirmed by our new guests. The seating in the lounge is a modern L shaped sofa from Ikea, whilst I do appreciate these modern furnishing are not as comfortable as a traditional feather stuffed, they are very practicable for a holiday home. The fact that it converts to a bed did not seem relevant to mention to Clare as they were a couple using the super king size bed in the bedroom. Sorry. The cottage does indeed get the sun in the morning as it faces east and there is lovely comfortable seating in place on the patio with outdoor cushions provided. We have our own private garden well away from the cottage. Our guests are welcome to use the large lawn which is directly in front of the cottage and we categorically did not state that they were not allowed to use it. At present there is a bench seat and in the summer months there are loungers for the sole use of our guests. Mrs Hardy did make use of this area to dry washing so I am at a loss as to why it was deemed out of bounds. I have responded to this feedback not because I want to prove a point but to reassure our guests that we do value their input which is why I make a point to meet with our guest within the first 24 hours to ask if they need anything, which I did with customers who only asked about the washing machine. I have been asked for a variety of things such as a slow cooker and even a freezer, which I have happily provided. If Mrs Hardy had simply asked for the above items I would have provided them.

The owners were very welcoming and on hand if needed for information about the area, places to visit or eating places.

The cottage was cosy and well decorated with all you needed for your stay,little welcoming touches were much appreciated.

The weather was bad for first three days but improved.

This was our first visit to both Northumbria and a cottage holiday.

I have to say we were not disappointed with either. John & Sue Danskin the owners of the cottage were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much to do. They gave us a full tour of the cottage and gave a full brief on all the local attractions etc. The only negative was that although the cottage was dog friendly not many of the venues around were which was disappointing but not Sykes fault.

My dog Pixie and I had such a super time as I did not realize how close it was to the beach at Druridge Bay. The cottage was so warm and cosy and had everything we needed. Sue and John made us very welcome and so did the horses over the fence! A perfect holiday cottage.

We were very pleased with our accommodation.

The Danskins are a lovely couple and made us feel very welcome. In fact, Sue had provided milk and nibbles for us which was really nice. The cottage provided everything that we needed and was very comfortable. The location is also excellent as it has good road links to all the local amenities and attractions. The only slight problem we encountered was entirely my fault. There is quite a hill from the drive down to the cottage and I am in a wheelchair. However, I didn't put this down when I was booking but it didn't really matter in the long run, as between my wife and my grandson, we soon worked out a technique for the chair and ended up having a most enjoyable week.

The owners are very personable and most helpful, and the cottage is very well equipped, comfortable and excellent value.
