    “The location and situation of the property were excellent.”

    ..views were incredible and it was peaceful, where lots of destinations can be reached easily by car. The cottage was mostly comfortable, with a couple of exceptions including the single bed and one of the sofas. The kitchen had all the basics, but the dishwasher was tiny and the washing machine unusable due to the foistiness. Problems experienced with the shower were responded to quickly by the owners and were fixed within a couple of days. Although the cleanliness was generally good, there ...

The washing machine is a high-quality appliance and is fully functional; we did not receive any report during your stay that it was unusable, and we would always have addressed this immediately had we been made aware. We’re glad the shower issue was resolved promptly, as we always aim to respond quickly to any concerns raised while guests are with us. In terms of cleanliness, we take this very seriously and have strict procedures in place. Your comments have been reviewed with our housekeeping team, although this is not reflective of the standard consistently reported by other guests. Outside this Wooler cottage is a large lawned garden complete with patio, furniture and barbecue, ideal for family entertaining, alfresco meals in the sun or enjoying a refreshing drink at the close of an activity-filled day.

Wooler is a delightful, historic market town on the banks of the River Till, one of the tributaries of the Tweed, nestling in the foothills of the Cheviots which form part of the Pennine Way. Known locally as 'The Gateway to The Cheviots', Wooler has a selection of hotels and eating places and offers a magnificent location for exploring the whole of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Situated on the edge of the Northumberland National Park, Wooler is just a short drive away from the historic town of Alnwick with its famous Castle and Gardens, and the well preserved Garrison town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Chillingham Castle with its ancient herd of wild white cattle and Coldstream, just over the Scottish border, are also a short drive away.
