Explore inland and visit Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the new Lilidorei Experience, Rothbury, Cragside House, and the Simonside Hills and to the north the Border towns of Berwick upon Tweed, Coldstream, Kelso and Melrose.
A little further afield, and in day reach, are Hadrian’s Wall, the Tyne Valley, Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham and Edinburgh.
