However, the holiday was marred by parking issues. The house is listed as having parking described as tight - its almost impossible to get into the narrow space between the houses, and we were mostly blocked in and could not get out. On our last day, a neighbour described the animosity towards the owners of No 30, as the parking space was actually a cut through from the next road, seemingly annexed by them for visitors. In the Visitors Book, a guest described their car as being "Keyed" during their stay and so we were worried the same could happen to ours. Neighbours also used the bins, and simply walked off when challenged. It all made for a very tense atmosphere, and although we loved Seahouses, we would not go back to that cottage. We were informed by the neighbours that an annual parking ticket could be had, relatively cheaply, for the public car park and most people provided them for their visitors. Perhaps this would alleviate the situation.
