    “A great place to stay, location good for town and exploring further.”

    Just remember that the flat IS above a shop, and the staff do greet each other enthusiastically very early in the morning! (The owners of the flat don't try to hide this fact, the photos make this very clear.) The flat itself was comfortable and had plenty of space. In the town we ate at the Olde Ship Inn and the Italian restaurant. Both very good. Fish and chips from the smallest fish and chip shop also good. Warm welcome from the Methodist Church at the Sunday service.

The Butchers Flat is a fantastic option for two couples wishing to spend some time in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and it is conveniently located near many of Northumberland's attractions. The interior of the apartment has a lovely open-plan living area where you can enjoy home cooking and mealtimes together. After that, settle in on the couch and turn on the Smart TV to keep up with your favourite programmes. There are two bedrooms in the Butchers Flat, each with a double bed, bedside tables, and wardrobes for your personal items. The contemporary bathroom, which is equipped with a bath, shower over and sleek fixtures and fittings, completes the décor. Explore the nearby village of Seahouses, tuck into some of the best fish and chips in Northumberland, and wander around a number of unique stores. Just a short stroll away is the down to the bustling harbour where you can enjoy an ice cream whilst you see the boats come in and go for the day. Bamburgh Castle, as well as views of Holy Island and Lindisfarne Castle, may be visible in the distance. Go rock pooling at the beach with your newly acquired fishing nets, buckets, and spades before finishing at The Potted Lobster for some delicious local seafood. Why not take a boat tours to The Farne Islands and see puffins in the spring and summer as well as grey seal populations and other wildlife all year long. Before continuing your stroll to the Northumberland Coast AONB, head a few miles south to Beadnell Bay Beach. This picturesque coastline stretch is well-known for its walking, cycling, watersports, and birdwatching options.
