Paul “Beautiful cottage located in a peaceful, historical village.”
It had everything we needed and was tastefully decorated (although I agree with the other review on curtains for the large bedroom as a street light shines through). Some lovely walks nearby along the Tweed and to Norham Castle. The Mason Arms is a great pub and well worth a visit. Property is located within a reasonable driving distance for Seahouses, Farnes, Berwick on Tweed, Bamburgh etc. Also recommend Union Bridge and Duddo Stones which are nearby. Comes highly recommended and would consider again if in the area.
- Paul, June 2024We are pleased you enjoyed your visit and found the cottage comfortable. Yes its a beautiful area and the village is truly idyllic . Property Owner

Spotlessly clean and very well equipped cottage. Lovely welcome pack. Highly recommend to anyone who wishes to stay in this area. Lots of history in the village and surrounding areas.

Barbara “Lovely cottage in beautiful and very friendly village.”
Plenty of attractions within easy driving distance and great walks available from the door. We enjoyed exploring Berwick, with its impressive defensive walls. The coast offers lovely harbours and beaches - St Abbs, Burnmouth, Seahouses, Beadnell. Plenty of historic interest too in this much fought over area. The Union Chain Bridge should not be missed - although it’s a bit scary driving over it. And for a relaxing walk the garden at Paxton House is hard to beat. The facilities in the cottage were good. Almost everything one could need - the only omission we could find was that there was no cling film (so useful for wrapping picnic sandwiches) in the kitchen. Would highly recommend the cottage and the area.
- Barbara, May 2024We are so pleased you found our cottage comfortable and the village and surrounding area so interesting - it is a very special part of the U.K. Thank you for the idea of the cling film - worth considering. Property Owner
Elizabeth “It was well equipped, good heating system and comfortable.”
Great wee village and lots to see in area. My one comment is that the double bed mattress is very soft and in need of replacement.
- Elizabeth, May 2024Thank you so much for your positive comments and we’re glad you enjoyed your stay. Regarding the double mattress we are sorry you found it too soft - we have taken note- thank you for bringing it to our attention. Property Owner

The village and nearby attractions were brilliant, and the cottage is ideally situated for easy access. Norham itself is idyllic, and pair this with such a brilliant cottage and you have a perfect holiday - highly recommended and thank you for such a lovely stay.

The property itself was clean and fresh - while retaining its character - and the outlook on the village green picturesque. Lots of local walks and plenty of places of interest to visit within a short drive.
