    “This spacious top floor property had stunning views over the river Aln, but was let down by the lack of care and maintenance one would expect of properties, when paying the sums as charged.”

    As you state all feedback will be passed to the owners, I hope the following points will be of interest: a)The ground floor entrance was overgrown with weeds b) The door lock to the bedroom with the bath was not working and required a bag to keep it shut c) The drawer units were not usable, as the fronts pulled away when opening d) There was no shaver point/basin light in the bathroom e) One bedside light was not working - not the bulb, which made reading difficult f) There were not enough ...

    As you state all feedback will be passed to the owners, I hope the following points will be of interest: a)The ground floor entrance was overgrown with weeds b) The door lock to the bedroom with the bath was not working and required a bag to keep it shut c) The drawer units were not usable, as the fronts pulled away when opening d) There was no shaver point/basin light in the bathroom e) One bedside light was not working - not the bulb, which made reading difficult f) There were not enough electrical sockets in the bedroom - extension leads from one point meant having to crawl under the bed to find a socket to plug in phones g) When stripping bedding prior to leaving , an old stain was exposed on the mattress protector which obviously had been there during our stay h) Generally the blinds were difficult to open - the cords were too short or broken i) The windows were difficult to open - some would not open at all j) Towel rails could only be used when heating was turned up high -not wanted on warm days, so could not properly dry towels k) Some ceiling lights not working in sitting room and kitchen I am sure if these points were attended to feedback would then be improved. Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.
