“Wellfield Lodge provides quite the most perfect holiday accommodation, being immaculately presented every year ( this is our 3rd or 4th visit).”

It provides a relaxing quiet holiday with its proximity to the sea and a variety of eating places an added bonus. There is a beautiful conservatory for the occasional damp day and there is use of the magnificent garden which is a haven for birds and is available not only for humans but also for dogs. Our dog Silver was ecstatic about it. We were devastated to be told that, due to the owners advancing years, this is the final year that it will be available. It will be a great loss to us.

“A lovely welcoming holiday home.”

We had a great stay and love the area, we have holidayed a lot on the north east coast. The house was warm and felt homely and very spacious. Lovely garden. We were slightly disappointed that there is no longer a wood burner in the home as this is something we enjoy and we feel it should have been reported in the details. Great position near the high street for pubs and shops and lovely 5 mins walk to the beach. Thank you

“A delightful retreat in a lovely village.”

The property is beautifully kept and is a delight to stay in. My two dachshunds loved the place, and it is great to find such a good dog friendly holiday. A great beach 5 minutes’ walk away and trips out to Dunstanburgh and Bamburgh made for a fabulous week. Visit the Jolly Fisherman at Craster!.

Peaceful, relaxing and extremely well equipt. Near to many amenities, close to places of interest i.e.castles etc and a lovely beach. Locals all seemed very friendly. We hope to return soon.

“I feel the property needs a little updating.”

We were disappointed not to be able to watch TV, we could not get it to work. The wi-fi was incredibly slow, I had to use my phone as a 'hot spot' to be able to use my laptop. The garden is lovely but the property information should make it clear that it is a shared garden. I felt unable to let my very timid dog out in the garden on her own and had to accompany her with her on a leash.

“This property is a little unusual this was our second visit with quite a few years in between, we loved it first time around but loved it more this time.”

The owners have added a conservatory over looking the garden. It is so pleasant sitting in there listening to the birds sing.This property is so clean with everything you need and has the most comfortable bed.

The property has the use of a lovely, mature private garden and is very peaceful and quiet despite being very close to the amenities. The property is very spacious. The owners live next door and are very quiet and do not disturb you.

The kitchen is well equipped. The sitting room and bedroom are very comfortable. It is in a good location in the village, with easy parking available. The garden is lovely. We would book again.

Wellfield Lodge is an attractive single storey cottage situated in a secluded position with a large garden on the edge of Alnmouth, yet within 200 yards of the village amenities.

High standard accommodation complete with comfortable conservatory in an ideal situation with private parking. ACCOMMODATION OVER ONE LEVEL (Ground floor with internal steps) Living/dining room spacious with electric fire, TV, window seat, large bay window overlooking lawn gardens. Kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Utility room with washing machine. Shower room with shower, WC and basin. Bedroom 1 with king-size bed, en suite bath with over bath shower, WC and basin, French windows to conservatory. Bedroom 2 smaller with twin beds (2ft 6in suitable for children). Conservatory with comfortable seating and TV/DVD and iPod docking station. OTHER FACILITIES Patio with furniture.

ALNMOUTH

Alnwick 4 miles.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.
