Lack of a garden is not an issue as the cheviot moors and many beaches offer all the space for sitting out you could ask for.
The local church is dog friendly and offers plenty of grass in the churchyard for dog walking and is 2 minutes walk from the old stables.
The locals are all friendly.
There is a brilliant fish and chip shop,John Dory opposite very well stocked co op for your breakfast supplies and more,again both only 2 mins ...

Further afield,Ford and Etal have a lovely peaceful stream,Cockawburn beach at Berwick, wild cattle at Chillingham,Bamburgh castle and beach,seahouses harbour and boat trip to the Farne islands plus Alnwick with castle and Barter books plus fabulous Morwick icecream,these are all great places.
Had another wonderful relaxing time A1 provided great links to the accommodation and everywhere just mentioned.
