“Equipment in property all in good clean condition and more than sufficient should you need to cook (but why, your on holiday).”
Beds very comfortable and clean, settee and armchairs also very comfortable.
Property well laid out and nicely decorated. It is also in a good position for walking to local shops, pubs, bus or seafront.
Only negatives which are not major:
Note in the equipment listing only 2 toilet rolls provided could be helpful. Also provision of a hand towel in the down stairs toilet would be beneficial.
Leaving instructions regarding bag for bedding, no bag found, this was mentioned in comments book by previous renters.
Shame so many plant pots out front and rear of property with dead or no plants, rather detracts from first impression to such a lovely property.
As said the above are not major issues, just things that make the property perfect.
We would certainly return if in the area again.
Many thanks for your constructive feedback. We have taken action on most of those points since your stay. Others I will raise with cleaning and maintenance teams. There should have been 2 toilet rolls in EACH bathroom, so 4 in total. Yes we should have a hand towel or at least a hook for one in the downstairs W/C. We usually take one of the spare handtowels down but I'll discuss that with maintenance and our linen hire company.
It has not been necessary to strip the beds for some time. Our version of the cottage guide (on our PC) has the information about bedding bags removed. I have raised it with the maintenance team who may not have inserted our updates.
We also wholeheartedly agree about the plant pots. We used to maintain these ourselves and ask guests to water the plants. However, a combination of the property being heavily booked (so we stay less often) and guests not watering them led to what you saw. Since your feedback, our maintenance team has replanted all the pots with new plants and will maintain them weekly. Thank you for raising it.
