The main gripe was the acrid smell of heating oil from the garage, which seeped into the kitchen despite the door being closed firmly and locked. As an engineer myself, this is a terrible fault with your boiler, and needs to be remedied. It was one of the issues with the ladies while cooking - the other being the filthy, grease soaked cooker hood filter which fell out into our first evening meal preparations. That too needs repairing. We left the dust and fluff around the skirtings and under the beds as we found them. The food that is in the cupboards was already there, contrary to your instructions. The lock on the en-suite door is illegal due to no facility to open from the outside. However - good value, great position, quiet location, spacious and lacking for nothing utensil, storage and crockery wise. Thank you.

The boiler is in date in terms of its service, and the certificate available, however .. as you mentioned an acrid smell, our heating engineer has revisited the property. Nothing was found to be amiss. A new cooker hood has been procured and is awaiting installation. We regret that you found our property anything less than exceptional, but have valued your constructive comments as a means to improve.
